Terms of Service
Effective date: June 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Meeting Treasurer (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service. Questions? Email [email protected].
1. The Service
Meeting Treasurer is a tool for tracking a group’s money and producing a treasurer’s report. It is a bookkeeping aid — not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the records you enter and for how your group uses them.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
3. Your data and content
The records you and your group enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that data in order to operate the Service for you — for example, calculating reports and sending the email you request. You can export your records as CSV at any time, including after a subscription lapses.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt or overload the Service, or misuse the email-forwarding features. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and trials
- Free trial. New groups get a free trial (currently 30 days) with no credit card required.
- Paid subscription. After the trial, continued use of features that modify records requires a subscription, billed per group to the group owner. Current prices are shown on our site and in the app. Reading and exporting your existing records remains available even if a subscription lapses.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by Stripe under their terms.
6. Refunds and cancellation
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from the subscription settings in the app (via the Stripe customer portal). When you cancel, you won’t be billed again, and you keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- Try before you pay. Because we offer a 30-day free trial with no card required, you can fully evaluate the Service before paying anything.
- Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. But if you were charged in error, charged after cancelling, or are unhappy with a recent charge, email [email protected] within 30 days and we’ll make it right — we handle these in good faith, case by case.
- Your records stay with you. Cancelling or lapsing never deletes your data or blocks export. You keep the ability to read and export your records.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your groups at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On deletion, your records are removed as described in our Privacy Policy (an automatic CSV backup is generated when you delete a group).
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. You are responsible for keeping your own records and for any decisions your group makes based on them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meeting Treasurer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, US $20).
10. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above and post the revised Terms here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state in which the operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be brought in the courts located there, and you agree to that venue to the extent permitted by law.
